Privacy Policy 2020


(GDPR) in accordance with guidance that came into effect 25th May 2018


We receive, collect and store all information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications), comments, feedback, recommendations, and personal profile.


What we collect and why

We collect Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:


  •     To provide and operate the essential running of the business

  •     To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalised service-related notices and promotional messages;

  •     To comply with any applicable laws and regulations such as health and safety and child safeguarding

  •       We only collect essential data for the running of the business and to keep everyone in line with health and safety and child safeguarding.




How we collect data

The Boards collect data by paper application which can also be sent to us via email and stored on an encrypted computer which is only viewed by our Principal Emma Spencer. Data is also submitted via our website.


Our company website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to share and sell our services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 


If we add a payment button or facility, all direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Our website may contain hyperlinks to other websites of interest. When you leave our site please note that we do not have any control over the other website and are not responsible for their privacy policy. Please read the privacy policy relating to their website.



How we process data internally

Any paper data we need to store, such as registers are stored in a locked area and only managed by the internal processor Emma Spencer. 

Non paper data is secured by an Encrypted database with password

All Paperwork is shredded and destroyed when finished with. We keep records for six months following a child leaving the school before destroying them.

Exceptions

First aid/accident reports will be kept on file for 21 years as legally requested.

Any Child safeguarding issues will be processed as guided by local authority.


3rd parties

Freelance teachers will sign a confidentiality and data processor agreement with us.

Any Safeguarding concerns we are duty bound to inform local authorities.

We do not sell, distribute, lease or pass any personal information to third parties unless we are required by law to do so.


Photos/videos/social media and marketing

The Boards Performing Arts use photos and videos occasionally within the classroom setting. Upon signing up to class you are offered the right to opt out, furthermore any parent has the option to opt out at any given time. With our regular posting we never use identifiable information.




What is a cookie?

Cookies are small files which are stored on a user’s computer. They are designed to hold a small amount of data specific to your usage. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual by gathering and remembering your personal preferences.



Privacy policy updates

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it. 


We continuously review all polices and reserve the right to modify any policy at any time. At the point that changes are made, we will contact all current members and inform them. We advise all members to make themselves familiar with each policy in its entirety. 





Right to erasure personal data

If you wish for your personal data to be deleted from our records you can do so if; you believe the data has been used unlawfully and/or you believe the data we hold is no longer needed. Requests to erase your stored data can be made at anytime by email to:
